Good night (Nanase Haruka x reader)

Your eyes seemed to close underwater as you struggled to resurface... Your arms spread out wildly underwater but it was no use. The surface seemed to get further and further away from you. As you finally decided to accept your fate, a pair of strong arms wrapped around your waist and brought you up to the surface. You looked towards this person and you saw them. The blue eyes that shone brightly and beautifully. Ever since, you had a crush on the blue eyed savior called Nanase Haruka.

These memories that happened eight years ago when you were an eight year old replayed in your mind as you stared out to the sunset beyond the ocean in front of you. You sat there, hugging your knees in your swimsuit on the soft and squishy sand.

" ____? Are you okay? " you looked up to see Haruka, the only boy in the swim team that knows about your past experience with the ocean, since well, he did save you that day.

"Yeah... Just remembering what happened eight years ago... But that was the past so.... I guess it doesn't really matter. " you replied quietly.

He sat down next to you and stared at the sea. You watched Makoto, Nagisa, Rei and Gou playing together splashing water to each other and laughing at the same time. You really wanted to be there but you developed a fear for water after that incident happened eight years ago.

" You want to go into the water right...? " Haruka asked you as though he read your mind.

" yeah but... I don't think I'll be able to.... I mean, I do have a fear for deep water " you half mumbled to yourself.

He stood up and took his jacket off. Then he took your hand and he started to walk towards the ocean. You tensed up as you got closer to the water and when the water was at your chest, you started to feel really uncomfortable. He looked back at you and said

"Calm down.... Breathe slowly, the water will not harm you. "

You tried breathing slowly as he pulled you further away from shore. The water was now at your neck and you looked at Haruka, worried.

He looked into your eyes and then he brought himself closer to you and wrapped his arms around you waist. You remembered the past, as this reminded you of how he saved you that day. He pulled you closer until he was basically hugging you, in the water.

"We're going to go down." He said calmly.

He took your hand and slowly guided you down. When you put your head underwater, you saw an endless view of blue. It was pretty, as the sunshine shone inside and got reflected by the water.

You smiled at him and slowly got closer to him. He got closer to you as well and you both resurface to breathe.

"Haruka, that was amazing..." You said, breathing heavily.

"I told you so." He smiled, with a hint of blush on his cheek as he realized how close you both were.

You decided to tell the truth.

"Haruka... I just wanted t-to tell you that.... Um... F-From the time you saved me until now..... I really, um, have a crush on y-you... I--"

He cut you off when he crashed his lips onto yours. You got surprised and scooted back a little and looked away to cover your bright blush on your cheeks.

" I'm sorry...." You looked down and he lifted your chin up.

"It's okay. I'm sorry for doing something bold out of the blue." He blushed as well.

You decided you should return the kiss as you thought that jumping back was a form of rejection of some sort and you felt really bad. You closed the gap between the two of you and you looked up into his eyes. You closed your eyes and kissed him softly.

He embraced you and you hugged him. You stayed like this until Nagisa yelled out

"AH!!!! Haru chan and (nickname) chan are hugging!!!!!!!!!! Mako chan, we have to do something!!!!!!!!! Haru chan is acting weird!!!!!"

"We should just leave them alone" Makoto smiled as he looked over to you guys.

"Eeehhhhhh??????? Mako chan!!!!! > <" Nagisa whined

Rei dragged Nagisa out of the water towards the shore and Gou chan followed behind Makoto.

It was getting dark so you suggested to get out of the water too. When you went out, the cold wind touched your skin and it made you shiver. Haruka was retrieving his jacket when he saw you shiver and he walked over and placed his jacket over your shoulders. He took your hand and slowly tugged you towards where everyone was going to; the hotel you guys were checked in. You paced up to walk right next to him and you smiled to yourself.

The moon was high up in the sky, shining over you guys.

You both walked to your rooms in the hotel and you both showered in your rooms and when you were done, you went into his room in your pajamas and sat down, leaning against the bed.

He sat down next to you and you rested your head on his shoulder. You stayed like this until you fell asleep.

And when you did, Haruka smiled and planted a sweet kiss on your forehead as he carried you onto his bed.
