AoT: Free Hugs [Armin x Reader]

It was another peaceful evening at the scouting legion headquarters... But of course, some people *ahem* Jean and Eren *cough cough* decided to make it a bit, well, I should say, interesting.


"Come on Armin, man up and just go tell her that you love her more
than anything in the whole wide world." Eren smacked Armin's back and grinned.

"Yeah armin, don't be a sissy and go tell her" Jean chimed in.

For once, Eren and Jean weren't yelling at each other, they were in fact, working together to make Armin confess to you.

Yes, you.

And while Eren and Jean tried to persuade armin to confess his love to you, sneaky little Eren stuck a small piece of paper behind his back.

And what did the piece of paper say? Well of course Eren wasn't a bully so it wouldn't say "jerk" or insulting words right? We'll find out later.

"Eren, Jean, I d-don't think I can d-do this I m-mean I don't think an-anyone would l-li-like m-me..." Armin blushed thinking about you.

"What are you talking about? [f/n] will definitely say yes to you Armin." Eren smiled to him in encouragement.

"But how do you know---" Armin got cut off by Eren and Jean running off saying "good luck".

Armin sighed to himself as he made his way down the hall and towards the library. To him, that was the most comfortable place to be in, the smell of books, cozy atmosphere made him feel... Safe.

Little did he know that a certain someone was actually tailing him, hiding in the pillars of the hallways.

Once he entered the room, the person inhaled and then exhaled before entering the library.

'well, the paper on his back tells me I can do this to him, so, I guess I'll just do it. Besides, there's no one in there.'

Yes, you were following him from behind as soon as you saw him with the paper stuck to his back. You wondered who would put such thing on his back.

Opening the door slowly, you made your way into the library and saw Armin sitting in the corner of the room, back facing you.

Grinning to yourself, you sneak up behind him and got into your 'ready' stance.


GLOMP!


You glomped him from behind and startled him.

"Wahh!" He said dropping the book onto the ground and turning his neck to see who interrupted him.

"[f/n]...? Wh-what are y-you do-doing?" He asked you while blushing madly.

You smiled and hugged him.

"Uh.... [f/n]?" He said nervously. You didn't usually act so bold to him so he thought something happened to you.

You giggled and peeled off the paper stuck behind his back. Showing it to him, he blinked many times.

The paper read:

Free Hugs!

Putting the paper down to your side, you chuckled. It was fun to see Armin speechless, it was cute.

After processing what he saw, he laughed nervously and smiled.
"Well, I guess this was all Eren and Jean's doing to make me confess to you."

"Wait... What?" You couldn't believe what you just heard.

"[f/n], I really like you. Since I met you, I just can't stop thinking about you. You're smart, pretty, kind and caring towards others, graceful and a wonderful person as a whole and I just really admire you and love you. I... I don't think you'll feel the same way towards someone like me, a nerd but... I just wanted you to know how I feel." He looked straight into your [eye color] eyes.

Blinking at him a few times and blushing, you smiled and once again, hugged him.

"Armin, I feel the same way. And you're not a nerd. You're a beautiful person and you help save lives with your plans on the expeditions we go on. I love you Armin." You replied.

Armin hugged you back while mumbling "thank you". The both of you stayed like that for a while when you broke the silence.

"So, does everyone get to hug you today?" You asked when you pulled away.

"Yeah... I guess so... But you're my special, so you can have free hugs from me everyday." He blushed.

"Re-really?" Now it was your turn to blush.

"Y-yeah... And if you want... You can have free kisses everyday too, only for you..." He blushed when he placed a soft kiss on your rosy cheeks.

You were left speechless and he chuckled.

The rest of the evening was spent in the library where you leaned against hi shoulder and slept in peace while he smiled and patted your head. Soon, he fell asleep as well.
